【摘要】:1.1Thisstandardisaperformance-basedpracticeforusingthesparktesttoelectricallylocateleaksinexposedgeomembraneswithaninsulatinglayerthatareinintimatecontactwithaconductivelayer.Forclarity,thisdocumentusesthetermleaktomeanholes,punctures,tears,cuts,cracksandsimilarbreachesoverthepartialorentireareaofaninstalledgeomembrane(asdefinedin).1.2Thistestmethodcanbeusedonexposedgeomembranesinstalledinbasins,ponds,tanks,oreandwastepads,landfillcells,landfillcaps,andothercontainmentfacilities.Thisstandardisapplicableforgeomembranesindirectandintimatecontactwithaconductivesurfaceorwithaconductivelayerintegrallyincluded.1.3SAFETYWARNING:Theelectricalmethodsusedforgeomembraneleaklocationusehighvoltage,lowcurrentpowersupplies,resultinginthepotentialforelectricalshock.Theelectricalmethodsusedforgeomembraneleaklocationshouldbeattemptedbyonlyqualifiedandexperiencedpersonnel.Appropriatesafetymeasuresmustbetakentoprotecttheleaklocationoperatorsaswellasotherpeopleatthesite.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyandliabilityconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
