【摘要】:Thistestmethodisformeasuringthespecularglossofpaperat75(15fromtheplaneofpaper).Althoughitschiefapplicationistocoatedpapers,thistestmethodmayalsobeusedforuncoatedpapers.Thistestmethodisnotameasureofimage-reflectingqualityandshouldnotbeusedforcast-coated,lacquered,highlyvarnished(,,)orwaxedpapers,andhigh-glossinkfilms.Forthesepurposes,TAPPIT653"SpecularGlossofPaperandPaperboardat20Degrees"ispreferred,althoughthepresentmethodhasbeenshowntobesuitableforglossmeasurementsofmostotherinkfilmsonpaperorpaperboard.Here,differencesinthecolorandthediffusereflectancesoftheseinkfilmshaveanegligibleeffectonmeasuredgloss.Forexample,oncomparingwhiteandblacksurfaceswhichareotherwiseidentical,thewhitesurfacewillmeasurelessthanoneglossunithigherthantheblack.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
